The analysis of databases of PubMed, eLibrary, Cohrane Library, MEDLINE was carried out according keywords: sociology of occupational medicine, social factors, occupational risk, occupational diseases, occupational pathology, the occupational risk management system. The sampling for analysis included 257 sources. The publications review permitted to substantiate incorporation of sociological studies on medicine, health, traumatism, morbidity, labor, employment, professions and risk as basis for new problem field in occupational medicine. This area can be denoted as the sociology of occupational medicine and in considerable extent has applied character. The consideration of social problems is directly related to development of general scientific knowledge and formation of concept of risk, including in medicine.
