The potential of such partnerships for the development of applied medical research, innovative entrepreneurship, and healthcare staffing is analyzed. The key mechanisms of cooperation are substantiated: technological alliances, RD clusters, incubators and educational consortia. Ethical, legal and organizational barriers to cooperation are noted.
