Предоставлены данные, показывающие глобальность данной проблемы. Раскрываются необходимость создания и реализации стратегий активного старения, процесса оптимизации возможностей для здоровья, участия и безопасности с целью повышения качества жизни по мере старения людей. В работе использован метод контент-анализа научных публикаций по базе данных PubMed по ключевым словам: «старение», «старение населения», «демографическая тенденция», «долголетие», «продолжительность жизни». Изучались научные публикации за 2018—2023 гг., материалы ВОЗ, ООН, статистические данные, научно-популярные издания.
