The main personal and professional qualities of the doctor, which are associated with the concept of «professionalism» in patients, are noted. It is noted that the formation of professional behavior is influenced not only by the personal qualities of a medical worker, but also by the working environment of the medical organization in which he carries out professional activities. It is concluded that the formation of the professionalism of a medical worker should be carried out with the participation of both the employee himself and the public health system and the system of medical professional education.
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>professional training</kwd><kwd>education</kwd><kwd>medical personnel</kwd><kwd>competencies</kwd><kwd>professionalism</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>профессиональная подготовка</kwd><kwd>образование</kwd><kwd>медицинские кадры</kwd><kwd>компетенции</kwd><kwd>профессионализм</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Askitopoulou H., Vgontzas A.
