В педиатрическую и базовую амбулаторную службы были интегрированы виртуальные амбулаторные клиники, потенциал которых для педиатрической отоларингологии считается достаточно значимым. В оториноларингологической практике особенно значимым был переход на расширенное применение телемедицинских технологий (индивидуальные гаджеты для осмотра ЛОР-пациентов, включая отоскоп прямого доступа, подключаемый к компьютеру отоларинголога). Практика детской оториноларингологической службы имеет тенденцию к совмещению виртуальных и очных посещений даже после острой фазы пандемии COVID-19.
