The retrospective study included analysis of course of pregnancy, childbirth and condition of newborns of 2000 women with gestational diabetes mellitus observed in antenatal clinics in Ivanovo in 2014–2022. By 2022, rate of such complications and outcomes of pregnancy as early and late threatened miscarriage, vomiting of pregnant women, premature detachment of normally located placenta, placental insufficiency, pathological body weight gain, diabetic fetopathy, predelivery rupture of amniotic fluid, premature birth is decreasing. The condition of fetus according to the Apgar scale is improving. By 2022, in women with gestational diabetes mellitus such indicators as isthmian-cervical insufficiency, anemia, hypertensive disorders, fetal growth retardation, insufficient body weight gain during pregnancy, head double contour, clinically narrow pelvis in childbirth and congenital malformations of the fetus increased. The timely diagnosis of gestational diabetes mellitus and pregnancy complications, continuity of specialized medical care will permit to reduce rate of unfavorable pregnancy complications and to improve perinatal outcomes.
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>pregnancy</kwd><kwd>gestational diabetes mellitus</kwd><kwd>pregnancy complications</kwd><kwd>perinatal outcomes</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>беременность</kwd><kwd>гестационный сахарный диабет</kwd><kwd>осложнения беременности</kwd><kwd>перинатальные исходы</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Saravanan P.
